 Ok so I didn't stay writing each and every eviction because this year really did suck. The game is over and Ashley ended up winning.  What I somewhat figured could happen when she was nominated first but took herself off the block by winning Veto. From there, she snuggled under Rachel's protection for the rest of the season. That is, until Rachel was taken out by herself, at which point Ashley decided to just stay quiet. Smart?  Sure, she was never a thought for the block because of the Judges alliance that Vince figured he must now live by religiously, which ruined his game because that only helped Morgan and Ashley as they too were in the same alliance (with Rachel and Will who are now in the jury). So now you really only need 2 more votes to win (4 to win from jury of 7)  Since Morgan played too hard, I was happy to see this outcome. She lost her game worrying about Vince being her #1 (when Lauren was Vince's true number one which he placed on the block and event...

 I know I keep saying that they need this to be the final year of Big Brother, just like they shut down Canada's rendition. The fact that they bring back someone from season 12 and 13 when they are now on 27.  Vince has decided to stick with Rachel's side which should be interesting to see him go out next week. Morgan is his kryptonite unfortunately. She hasn't won anything and has ruined his game. Now that he is feeling so bad, he is spending time with Keanu and Morgan is all upset because they have been talking for the past hour. Instead of just going up to the gym where they are speaking, she sends Ava up to speak and she was told to leave as he will talk to her after.  This is what it has been all week for Vince and he simply hasn't locked the HOH door when he wants to be in one on one's.  Pathetic. Just Pathetic. The fact that these players (other than Keanu) has simply laid down over Rachel as she coasts to Jury and will be sure to be in final 3 as she pointed...

It always amazes me how much talking about 'what ifs' goes on.  The fact that they have the block buster challenge first makes the veto twist and turn due to not being able to backdoor unless the block buster winner isn't like it was this past week, where Mickey ended up winning it and the house had decided she would be the one going if available.   So here we are wondering who will be picked and who is in the HOH room with Vince, likely just before the call to pick players.. Mickey, Rachel and Ashley.. If Vince was smart enough to realize this, it should be clear that they are all freaked out and feel something's up. Here is how I feel: Rachel: should have been the subject from week 2 since she was essentially safe the first week. Just like they are doing, trying to get Kelley out but she keeps winning, this person should have been Rachel. As well, when Amy went home and then Rachel moved to Jimmy and when Jimmy went, Rachel was on an island until Ashley saw the opport...

 By now it is quite apparent that most of these newbies, as Rachel would say, just don't know how to play the game.  Vince is such an insecure person, or comes across like he needs to tell everyone this... He is now speaking with Rachel for one on ones again and she is stating Kelley over and over and when he also mentions Ashley, Rachel deflects back to how Kelley should go.  Anyone that knows how to control the situation should be able to realize that Kelley is Rachel's target and Ashley is her #1 and probably the only one left that would lay down for her, just like Jimmy was. OK so I have previously stated that I believe this will be the last season of Big Brother USA.. If it isn't then it seriously might be mine! From the very beginning, I get it that times have changed and we need to adjust things over the years.  The problem is on each countries version of Big Brother, the one common element that is slowly disappearing is the live feed visibility.  They simply stop the feeds (fish, now animal shelter). Previous years we would get to see the feed pretty much once the live show was done. Later they started waiting longer and longer through the night before showing the live feed or giving a 1 minute sneak peak every 20 min or so.. it was truly a tease and just messing with the live feeders. But now it is quite apparent that with Big Brother Canada folding, even UK is questionable and CBS doing whatever they can to keep the chenbot happy, even though her husband is no longer the main man in charge.  This is where I believe the structure of Big ...

It is Thursday night and that means Big Brother eviction night.  As an avid fan, watching the season from 1 to current, never missed an episode of USA or Can versions. I get it, these new crew are young and it is a new season where things get going real fast. That being said, it is only week 3 and these HG's have really been playing too hard too fast. As a result they are using their hearts instead of their head because it is easy to see that the Veto will always be used when you have an additional challenge you must compete in before you really know the final 2 that are sitting on the block for eviction. They are only now starting to talk about the back door process by NOT placing the person you want evicted on Thursday to be on the nomination during veto day.  The fact that it happens on week 3 and Lauren has actually placed the wrong person on t he replacement nomination, and now with Will thinking he is likely safe (because he is going by his known safety players) but Laur...

 With Big Brother USA season 27 underway, I really must believe this is a dead man walking situation for the Big Brother franchise.  With BB Canada ending last season and the fact that the American version has been running on a cbs shoestring for the last 10 years (In my opinion). The fact that they find bringing someone that was once famous and managed 2 seasons, married a man who also competed that same season and now they structured this season around her. I mean come on, throw more twists because there isn't enough already going on.  Make the episodes 90 minutes long when you can't even fill 60 and then on the nights when 90 min is needed (eviction night) won't be due to NFL football, etc  (pretty much anything these days on TV rates higher than BB USA) But because it's a CBS property it isn't a lock to be cancelled due to low viewership.  For anyone that knows anything about Television should recognize the onslaught of  A-list Actors now performing in ...

 Since I haven't used this blog in years, I figured I would post about Big Brother.  In Canada it lasted a few years and it was actually better than the US version. Mostly by casting but also the challenges were more thought out and looked great on Television. Now, this being season 27 on BB USA, I feel it should be the last as well.  The fact that they bring back someone that has not only won Big Brother, but has a husband from the show and has been on 3 times. The fact that they give her a free week so that they all can't just evict her right away, these houseguests are so dumb. They gave her less than a week and she has already locked herself into the full season.  I have never missed a season of either USA or Canada versions and have to say this is by far the worst.. so far!  The fact that they continue to cast people that have never seen the show or have only started watching once they got accepted to the final round of potential houseguests where they are ...

 Why ask why? A term that my good friend, Shawn Bowley (RIP) would say when some technological incident would happen and once fixed we would question what happened, something you would always do in production to attempt to rectify so the incident doesn't happen again. As the investigation of what went wrong turns up with even more questions than before the incident happened is where the term "why ask why" fits nicely. So what does that have to do with Chromebooks being better than Windows machines?  Well, it has everything to do with the fact that I was a bleeding edge supporter of the chromebook, buying a very early Asus model with touchscreen, followed by an early samsung model before getting the Pixel (2015 edition). Back then all the haters were saying how it was garbage because nothing worked if you were offline.  I recently came across the notice that my user account settings needed to be adjusted back to 'default' settings.. this meant 1 down from the top of the ladder whereas I normally run it on the 3rd rung from the top or the first rung from the bottom. This is to prevent the constant (and annoying) pop up, since most everyone would just click YES or whatever the default was because some are even too lazy to notice and just click on the enter/return key. So by changing this to the first rung I have still implemented that Windows built in security still take part. This is a key as simply turning this to off will invalidate other "areas" within the operating system that you may want to be monitoring.  In this instance, the software was quite old. Or at least it was built on old framework.. as in Windows 95 era. The reason off-hand that I would think this was the case due to the fact that it did not have a security key from microsoft but if invoked it would provide the info...

 I just learned that I won $75 in last nights lottery draw. I had 4 out of the 6 numbers but because they throw in the bonus number you really do not get to see the money until you reach 5 numbers. Oh well, it was once in a blue moon that I win and wouldn't you know it, last night was a blue moon! Things are looking up... I woke up and realized I gained an hour so my sleeping in didn't seem so obvious :-) Then I learn of my windfall.. it makes my reason to stop and enjoy the scenery that much more important.

 It has been well over 1 year since my last post to this blog. Was it a forgotten place? Yes of course, just like most items you find in your brain if you stop and think about it.  I recently visited a family that was dealing with Alzheimer's within the family. I can relate, similarly my father had dementia.  As a kid I just thought all this stuff was "old age" . One thing I noticed that helped me differentiate between the two, even though I may be completely incorrect or even  a little bit unsure, is that with dementia you just stop remembering and with alzheimer's you would vividly remember your childhood but forget what you just did.  Regardless of which the person has, it becomes very hard for family to be able to care for. In most cultures you may keep this within the family as more than one generation may reside together. Therefore it may become a natural transition. But I digress... I hope to provide a more active role, providing what I hope to be able to...

There are many things in this world that amaze me and make me wonder, pretty much on a daily basis. As I get older I find myself reflecting on a time when my father would have told me something and I would have thought at that time, "I'm never going to think about things like that".. and yet here I am many years later doing just that.  There is a lot to be said about age and wisdom. Many times the wisdom comes with just having previously done something stupid and realize, "that was dumb, I will never do that again", and you usually don't.  If you are thinking clearly at the time you are about to do the same stupid thing, you typically stop and realize that you have been down this road before and remember the last time the results were anything but pleasant so you likely will stop and do the task another way.
